Druk Padma Karpo School
Igniting Young Minds
Nestled in one of the highest arid deserts in the world is the Druk Padma Karpo School, renowned for its cutting-edge sustainable design and modern curriculum rooted in ancient Himalayan wisdom.
“The students come from humble backgrounds and are just so eager to absorb everything.”
– Mingur Angmo, Principal of Druk Padma Karpo School
Since its opening in 2001, the Druk Padma Karpo School has become a hub for hope. It has served as a venue for the Ladakhi community to learn, host medical camps, stage disaster relief and welcome marginalized children who are often orphaned. As a result, the school boasts an all-female boxing team, nationally acclaimed archers and an award-winning football team.
A generous donor has offered to match up to US$1,000,000 in donations to finish building the school. The funds will enable students to complete their much-needed high school education in the most well-equipped and conducive learning environment in the Himalayas.
Please help us to the finish line and ensure generations of future leaders graduate from the Druk Padma Karpo School.

Ride for Ladakh!
Meet Edwin Gruber. At 75 years old, he's a lifelong educator and one of our dearest supporters. This August and September, he’s cycling 2,000 km across France to build new classrooms and science labs for students in Ladakh.
Why? Because at present, most students leave Ladakh to continue their senior secondary education. Edwin is riding to change that.
You can support his journey by clicking the link below. We’re also encouraging participation in the ride for a few segments - it’s an incredibly scenic, bicycle friendly route. Please email srajput@livetolove.org for more information.
Every kilometre brings Ladakh’s children closer to a brighter future.
